Tasting Room Staff
Mari Vineyards is hiring flexible full and part time seasonal Tasting Room Staff (20-40 hours week/average). We are seeking self-starters who have the passion and drive to be a part of the continued success of our new Tasting Room on Old Mission Peninsula. Ideal candidates will be outgoing, organized, self-motivated and disciplined individuals who are focused on the customer’s experience and continued education of guests on Mari Vineyards and Michigan Wine.

Position Responsibilities
- Service of alcohol to guests
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of our Tasting Room which includes tastings, visitor relations, tours, wine club sign-ups and retail sales
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the Tasting Room, maintaining expected presentation of Tasting Room and Merchandise Area
- Assist with inventory control of wine, retail merchandise and tasting room supplies
- Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers
- Assist with direct shipping to customers and wine club members
- Ability to work most weekends and some holidays
- Opportunity to work some events
- Assist in some kitchen duties, to include busing and dish washing
Qualifications
- A positive attitude!
- Previous tasting room experience welcomed but not required, other experience ideally wine/hospitality related
- Passion for wine and customer service
- A desire to increase knowledge about wine
- Ability to learn and share specific knowledge about Mari Vineyards with guests
- Works well in a group/team environment and can be supportive of other team members
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to cope with a changing work environment
- Experience with POS systems, and/or ability to learn Vin65
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to spend most of the day on your feet
- A love of Michigan Wine and knowledge of the Traverse City area
- Must be 18+ years of age to serve alcohol with a valid Driver's License
