Chris Smith is a Chicago-based musician, native to Traverse City, who has been performing around the Midwest for the last 6 years. His musical influences stem from artists such as The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Rice, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver and Martin Sexton.
For the last two years, Chris has been based in Chicago playing around the city at many local venues, enjoying what the city has to offer. However, he likes to find time to retreat from city life and make it north for gigging and seeing family. Aside from being an artist and performer, Chris has dedicated years of world touring as an ambassador of arts education in schools and communities around the globe with the non-profit organization, The Young Americans.
Chris has become a fast favorite here at Mari, and we're sure you'll love him too! Click here for more information
